As the new year approaches, many of us start thinking about new goals for the upcoming new year. Losing weight, going to bed early, eating better, being nicer to people, etc. You get my point. But do you want to make those changes because society says it is the right thing to do, or because it matters to you. Ask yourself what is really important to you in the long run?
In reality, new beginnings happen every single day! Think about what type of energy you want to have and what type of energy you want to bring it to the world from now on?
You do not need to wait for New Years to start taking steps for a better version of you. Today is the day! Today you can start with one step, one small change towards those goals.
Make those goals feasible so they last. It is a lifestyle, not a fad. Remember Rome was not built in a day.
Visualize how do you want to see yourself at the end of 2022. How does it look like? How do you look? How do you feel? Who is around you? Now, with that in mind, write down what would you need to do to be how you imagined yourself. What steps do you think you need to take?
You do not need to know all the answers. Write a few things, the first few that come to mind. The important thing is to take the first step!!! Yes, the first step is always the hardest!
But you can do it. As you keep taking the steps, you will find out what is the next step. As you go along in your wellness journey you will try some things that may not fit your needs, but it is ok, you can pivot and continue. Just take the first step, write the next 2 steps and keep it going.
It is important to keep in mind your WHY. Why do you want to make these changes? Perhaps write them down so you can keep them visible; this will be helpful on those day that you may feel discouraged and don’t feel like doing what you planned.
You are not alone, most of us go through that. But the main thing is to set your mind. Figure out where you want to go and take that first step. Do make sure you keep in mind that whatever changes you make are aligned with the energy you want to have, and you want to bring into the world. If your choices are aligned with your true self, life will make whatever tools available for you in order for you to achieve your goals.
There are many tools and resources available to create that better and more rejuvenated version of yourself. Wether you start a new exercise routine, yoga, meditation, prayer, breath work, healthier food choices, aromatherapy, energy healing, or whatever resonates you. Just allow yourself and be open to the infinite possibilities.
Regardless where you are at this point in your life, today appreciate and love yourself!!
